A Noodle Story @ Amoy Food centre

you really wouldn't be able to differentiate the cuisine which relates to the dish. Some say it's jap styled ramen, others say it's a Singaporean dish. i was first intrigued by this stall one day when i was saw a snaking queue form during lunch hour. as we all know, the amoy stalls are famed for having long lines and i thought nothing of it. that was until one day when i decided to give this stall a shot when the queue was comparatively short.

in my opinion, it is more of a singapore styled ramen noodle dish while cha siew and egg are more japanese oriented. At $5.50 a bowl, i got half an egg (really good!), couple pieces of cha siew (the pork was really tender and flavorful), 2 wantons (yummie!) and a prawn wrapped with potato (soso).  You get to choose from $5.50, $6.50 and $7.50 (more ingredients as the price gets higher). really worth the price if the queue isn't that long.

Review: A very satisfying lunch for such an affordable price. The runny egg yolk made the dish even more spectacular. The char siew was so yummy, soft and tender. what can be improved could be its noodles. Lumpy and tasted yeasty. Nonetheless, a good and cheap lunch in amoy.
